I am heading off to Portugal and hope to write a feature on Lisbon, possibly to be included in a revised edition of ‘All The Dead Voices’, for a German publisher – though only a possibility and long way off. When I return I shall be putting the final touches to a talk by two eminent speakers about Belfast in November 1909 and James Joyce’s only visit to the best city in Ireland. The event is being jointly organised by the ‘Belfast Telegraph’ and Féile an Phobail and the leaflet explains all.
